My Business.

Poked, Pierced and Prodded. The name of my business.

The business would be a piercing parlour in the Northern suburbs of Adelaide.

The shop would sell clothing, shoes, belt buckles, belts, jewellery and posters. Along with the option of waxing and piercings too.

The employee's I would prefer to employ would be Kasey Hilder aka Zephyr Elf for all of the fashion and jewellery section. Sam McNicholls for the waxing section. Elena Halkias for the piercing and also waxing side too. And my self for the piercings as well.

The business would have member discount cards and with every purchase get it stamped and the 5th and 10th purchase is free. And also cheap Tuesday's. Also known as 'Tight Arse Tuesdays'. (From Punktured Body Piercings in Adelaide).

I would like the set-up of the piercing rooms to be a little like the business Out Of Step in Seacombe Gardens. They have their set-up ( Sterilised Tools and Jewellery) in their actual piercing room. Unlike other places that have them in a different room. It would make it a lot easier and less time consuming for both the piercer and the client.

The range of piercings that would be available, would be a little different to all other parlours. Most parlour's have a small range of "normal" piercings. My business would do out of the ordinary piercings and modifications.

Some that would be available would be Scarification(1), Tongue Bifurcation(2), Extraocular Implant(3), Dermal Anchors(4) and Earlobe Stretching(5). Along with the less 'hardcore' piercings.

(1) Scarification is the art of scratching, etching or superficially cutting designs, pictures or words into the skin as a permanent body modification.

(2) Tongue Bifurcation is the art in which the tongue is cut centrally from its tip to as far back as the underside base, forking the end.

(3) Extraocular implant is the art of a cosmetic implant involving a tiny piece of decorative jewellery is implanted within the superficial, conjunctiva of the human eye. 

(4) Dermal Anchor is the art at which an anchor is implanted underneath the skin and an interchangeable jewellery top, is screwed into the threaded hole in the step of the anchor. 

(5) Earlobe stretching is the art of deliberate expansion of healed tissue for the purpose of wearing jewellery.
